Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pick this up at your yard instead of delivery?
Yes — that's our Customer Pickup (CPU) option, and it's cheaper than delivery. You hook up at our pickup location in Las Vegas (full address shared after booking confirms), drive it to your jobsite, and bring it back when you're done. Requirements: tow vehicle rated for at least 10,000 lbs of trailer weight, 2-5/16" ball hitch, 7-pin trailer connector with a working brake controller, and a valid driver's license (no CDL required under 26,001 lb GVWR). We verify your tow setup before the trailer leaves the yard. Customer pickup has a 1-day minimum — perfect for a Saturday dump run.
What kind of truck do I need to pull this?
The trailer is up to 14,000 lb GVWR when loaded. You will want a vehicle with at least 14,000 lb tow capacity and the right hitch class. In practical terms, that means a 3/4-ton (F-250 / Ram 2500) or larger pickup with a class IV or class V hitch. Half-ton trucks (F-150 / Silverado 1500) can pull it empty or partially loaded but should not pull it fully loaded.
Can I put concrete chunks or rebar in it?
Yes. The trailer is built for heavy material including broken concrete and rebar. Just stay under the weight limit and do not exceed the GVWR. If your demolition job is large, two trips beats overloading the trailer.
How does the retractable tarp work?
The tarp cover is built into the trailer and rolls back to cover the load. You operate it with a hand crank from the front of the trailer. The cover keeps debris from blowing out on the highway and is required by Nevada law for loads that could spill.
Do I need a special license to pull a 14,000 lb trailer?
In Nevada, a standard Class C driver's license covers most non-commercial towing under 26,001 lb combined vehicle weight. Commercial use may require a Class A CDL depending on the combined weight. If you are renting for a commercial job, verify your licensing before pickup.
Where can I dump the load?
Common Las Vegas options include Republic Services transfer stations, Las Vegas Paving (recycled material), and various landscape suppliers (gravel returns). Each has different rates by material type. Call ahead to confirm hours and tipping fees.
What if I cannot tow the trailer myself?
Hire our hauling service. We use the dump trailer + a driver to pick up, deliver, or haul off material. Pricing is per load: $200 per load within 15 miles. Call (702) 340-4025 to schedule.
What about insurance?
Trailers are usually covered by your vehicle's liability insurance as long as you are pulling it. For commercial use, your business policy should include trailer coverage. If you are uncertain, check with your insurance agent before pickup.
