"Exceptional equipment rental! Reasonable, reliable, and so customer oriented. They had next day availability and arrived early so we could start before the heat of the day set in. The AC in the skid steer is fantastic. We are not done with our big job and will definitely be renting again. Thanks Billy!!"

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a Bobcat? What's the difference between a Bobcat, skid steer, and CTL?
"Bobcat" is a brand of skid steer (like "Kleenex" is for tissues) โ people often use it generically for any skid steer. Our machine is a Caterpillar 262D3, a commercial-grade wheeled skid steer with more lift capacity and a quieter cab than most Bobcats. A Compact Track Loader (CTL) is a different machine โ it runs on rubber tracks instead of wheels, which gives better flotation on soft ground but adds rental cost. For most Las Vegas jobs (hard-pack desert soil, gravel, dirt driveways, concrete pads), a wheeled skid steer like ours does the same work as a CTL at a lower rental rate. If you specifically need a tracked machine for muddy or soft jobsites, give us a call to discuss โ we may be able to source one.
Do I need a license to operate a skid steer?
No special license is required in Nevada to operate a skid steer on private property. For commercial jobsites, OSHA requires the operator to be trained and qualified. If you have never run a skid steer before, we recommend our owner-operator service so a qualified operator runs the machine on your job.
Can I switch attachments during my rental?
If you need more than one attachment, tell us at booking. Switching attachments during a rental requires us to deliver the additional attachment. Pricing for multi-attachment rentals is quoted per job. Call (702) 340-4025.
What sizes does the auger come in?
Three bit sizes: 9 inch, 12 inch, and 18 inch. The bit you need depends on the job. 9 inch fits most landscape fence posts. 12 inch handles most pergola and structural posts. 18 inch is for sign posts, deep landscape pillars, and large footings.
Will the skid steer fit through a standard residential gate?
The CAT 262D3 is roughly 6 feet wide with the standard bucket. Most modern residential gates are 8 feet or wider, so it usually fits. Older Las Vegas neighborhoods sometimes have narrower gates; measure yours before booking.
What about insurance?
Two options. Provide your own Certificate of Insurance with $1M general liability and full equipment replacement value coverage, or purchase our damage waiver as part of the rental. Most contractors use their own COI. Most homeowners go with the damage waiver.
Before any digging, do I need to call 811?
Yes. Nevada law requires anyone doing ground-disturbing work to call 811 at least 2 business days before digging. The service is free and they mark all underground utilities on your property. Damaging a utility line you did not have located can be a felony and is always expensive. Call 811 before you dig.
